| Dr Ali Ahmady has more than 16 years experience in clinical embryology. He has established few IVF research/clinical labs including setting up the Andrology, Embryology, and Endocrinology laboratories in Astra Fertility centre at both Mississauga and Brampton locations. |

He has graduated from National University of Singapore under supervision of Prof SC Ng who is pioneer in micromanipulation and produced the first SUZI (Sub zonal insemination, technique prior to ICSI) live birth in human. Dr Ahmady's research has been focus on male infertility. He did a systematic study of fertilizing ability of dead sperm (at cellular and molecular level especially DNA damage) to unreveal the process of life. He developed Single Sperm Curling test for selecting a viable sperm in ICSI procedure. He also developed hamster-ICSI assay for evaluating fertilizing ability of severe male factor patient's sperm. He produced first live-birth ICSI in the mouse. Dr ahmady is an author of book, co-author of chapter in atlas of embryology and published more than 20 peer-reviewed papers. His work on DNA-damage has been quoted by several leading pioneer in the field.

Dr Ahmady is a board certified lab director (HCLD) from American Board of Bioanalysis. He also has certificate of qualification as lab director in Andrology and Endocrinology from New York State department of Health.
